Tynkkylän lomaniemi

Free-time relaxation next to the home of the Saimaa ringed seal.

Tynkkylän Lomaniemi is located on the shores of Pihlajavesi, Lake Saimaa, in the headland Mökinniemi, which is part of Vuoriniemi in Punkaharju. The place was settled already centuries ago when people lived in dim, chimneyless huts living off the bounty of nature and the pure waters of Lake Saimaa. Lomaniemi continues to enjoy the same things, but its dwellings have evolved from the olden days. Luxurious villas with all the mod cons, not to mention the scenic environment, provide remarkable experiences. Indeed, the environment around Lomaniemi with its islands, headlands and bays is home to the endangered Saimaa ringed seal.

Built on the highest point of Lomaniemi back in 1860, the main building and its yard offers a spectacular view over the blue waters of Lake Saimaa. The main building warmly welcomes diners from all over the world.

Family occasions and catering services for other events can be conjured up for up to 150 people. The range of accommodation at Lomaniemi includes 14 cottages that have been awarded 3–5 stars according to the MALO classification. The boat harbour serves boaters travelling around Lake Saimaa. Welcome to enjoy high-class service and experiences that you can reminisce about even after you go back home!
