It´s quite something to try to imagine all the things that the log walls of the storehouse dating back to 1810 have witnessed… Indeed, there would be many interesting stories to be heard from this period of a couple of hundred years. Some years ago, a Japanese minister and his family stayed overnight in the former storehouse. When he arrived escorted by his security staff, the thought occurred that perhaps the standard of the storehouse would not meet the family’s requirements. However, the family was very pleased with the arrangements, participated in milking the cows and in tending the other farm animals as if they were just some local people. After all, the environment is quite the opposite of hectic town life. ´There one finds peace of mind´, the minister later remarked.
The farm has evolved into a farm-holiday enterprise, but one on which agriculture continues to be practised. The provision of accommodation ranges from simple storehouse accommodation to rooms of hotel standard and cottages by the lakeside. Tasty farm food is also on offer.
