Sahanlahti provides comfort in accommodation in the form of cottages and a hotel by the lakeside. Get to know our restaurants and stop over for a meal. A breathtaking view opens across Lake Saimaa from the summer patio of Sahanlahti.
The old village of Saha has been the home of as many as 200 people during the past centuries. The dwelling museum tells of past times and there you can also enjoy a cup of coffee, for instance. The birthplace of Kalevala Koru continues to be highly appreciative of work and Finnish cultural heritage. Nowadays, the house of the former sawmill manager functions as a restaurant. The restaurant is open daily in the summer and special opening times are possible by prior arrangement. The storehouse by the lakeside and the boat-berthing place for visitors and the associated maintenance premises are open throughout the ice-free seasons of the year, but our other services are provided year-round. Sahanlahti provides a pleasant setting for many festive and other occasions. The traveller has a choice of lodgings at his disposal; the lakeside hotel, a lakeside cottage or a converted storeroom.
